Provides and directs the assessment and treatment of the clients to develop, recover, or maintain their daily living and work skills focusing on adapting to the environment, modifying a task, teaching a skill, and educating the client/family to help the client increase participation in and performance of daily activities. Treatment settings may include inclusion preschool, outpatient clinics, and K-12 schools. 

Qualifications
Education:  
Master’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University. 
Successful completion of the NBCOT Examination for Certified Occupational Therapists. 

Experience: 
A minimum of two years experience as an Occupational Therapist. 
Have a working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
Experience working with children.

Required Credentials: 
Current Florida Department of Health License (or license eligible). NBCOT registered, Florida Medicaid number and National Provider Identification number preferred. 
CPR Certification/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens/HIV/Aids/Medical Errors, mandatory (training available). 
Valid Florida Class D driver’s license and auto liability insurance. 
All employees must pass a background screening and drug test for employment. 

Responsibilities 
Conducts screenings and evaluates clients to determine the need for intervention/treatment. 
Develops treatment plan; implements, conducts and monitors client’s response to treatment. Adapts treatment and programs to meet the individual needs of the client. 
Communicate with the client, family, and team members an appropriate home or community program to maintain or enhance the client’s performance. 
Establishes individual client schedules in conjunction with other team members. 
Documents results of client’s assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services. Participates in discharge planning. 
Adheres to department procedures regarding documentation of Occupational Therapy services. Records indirect time and billable treatment times according to department procedures. Maintains the level of productivity established by the Therapy Director. 
Complies with all Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional. Maintains a safe and clean work area. 
Comply with Easter Seals policies and procedures utilizing the highest standards of personal and professional ethics and behavior.  
Demonstrate good judgment, diplomacy, courtesy. and effective communication while working at Easter Seals or when representing the organization.
